Including myself. Archaeology in the Media
Many archaeologists have a problem with the way archaeologists are portrayed in Hollywood and on television.  They view pop culture archaeologists as wrong and harmful to the future of archaeology because students come into the field so frequently with false hopes of being the next Indiana Jones of Lara Croft.  You can probably tell by my user name that I don’t have that same problem with...

A bit of an introduction.
I’m a 19 year old archaeology major in Baltimore.   I hope to study abroad next year in the UK. I’m focusing on Egypt, though I’m not sure what time period. I spent time on a dig in Belize. I desperately want to go on a dig in Egypt this summer with one of my professors.  -A
